On the 20th of January this year, it was amazing to witness how a diverse group of 30 people from 10 countries came together on the Kopaonik mountain, in a place called Brzece. There was one common theme that gathered them all and many different reasons for coming here.
The training course “Online Tools in Youth Work and Non-formal Learning” had officially begun. During the first day, participants agreed that in non-formal education there is no such thing as a “must”, unless you said you would do it.
Further on, they all engaged in creating a group agreement as well as introducing themselves through several games. Participants completed their self-assessments and got introduced to the agenda.
During the afternoon sessions, everyone took part in group building activities after which they all debriefed and split into smaller reflection groups.
The day seemed very exciting, but it even got better! The free time in the evening was used for relaxing, getting to know other participants better and having fun by playing board games. Days to come are expected to be as good, even better.
