On the 2nd day of training Online tools in youth work and non formal education things were just getting started to more things to come. In the morning sessions (that started with lovely singing of our participants from Montenegro) we had the possibility to explore and discuss on some keywords that are always present when talking about working with youth. These were: youth work, non-formal education, social media in non formal education and youth work, online tools and youth worker. The participants divided in groups to explore the keywords and discuss it all together.
The afternoon sessions started by developing presentations on each country systems of youth work which allowed us to find out more on what other countries are doing on that behalf. We were also introduced on some examples of public campaigns that wanted to influence and start some change in their communities. We all agreed on importance of being creative in attracting young people to take part in non formal activities, to be as inclusive as possible. Another agreement was upon importance of both educational systems, both formal and non formal.
In the evening we had the chance to do something that we do less and less in our everyday lives: to hug someone for no reason but just for a hug. That is how we celebrated the International Free hug day.
The finale of the very successful day came with the international evening where participants from Albania, Macedonia and Greece. Apart from cultural and historical facts, we had the chance to dance some traditional dances, eat some nice food and ….. the rest is not really suitable for everyone ears and eyes.
